Wende

Thijs Schrijnemakers broke through in 2008 with his band Stereo after appearing on the Dutch national TV show Rock Nation. But he had been active in the years before that, appearing on major Dutch music festivals, including the Pinkpop festival, at the early age of 18. After studying at the Rockacademie he developed an interest for electronic music and was part of
several bands during the years where raw synthesizer electronica played a big role.

Thijs currently works as a teacher at the Rock City Institute in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Besides that he is part of the LiveJam Education
foundation, promoting pop music projects in high schools and youth centers across the Netherlands.

Jantje Geldof has been involved in light and design since the late seventies.

In 2000 he, along with Jasper Verhaart and Mike den Ottolander, founded the company Geldof, Verhaart & Den Ottolander (GVDO in short). GVDO not only specializes in light-design for theatres but also for television.

Over the past few years Jantje has not only done the light design for Wende, but also for other Dutch artists as Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, NUHR, Najib Amhali, De Ploeg, Adelheid Roosen and Titus Muiselaar. He also works with young Dutch theater-talents Thijs Maas, Daniel Arends and Jurre Bussemaker. He has recently done the light design for the music production Afikaaps in the Baxter Theater Capetown, directed by Catherine Henegan.

Jan van Eerd studied drums and vibraphone at the Conservatory in The Hague, The Netherlands.

The following is a selection of the post-graduation activities of Jan van Eerd:

Bandleader and drummer for coverband “de helden”

Playing vibraphone and samples for Spinvis for five years, this brought him to nearly every stage Holland and Belgium have to offer as well as recording several albums.

As soloist he played with various DJ’s across the world. In the Netherlands he toured the clubs with DJ Maestro, amongst others.

With his own dance group Celcius he become second in the prestigious talent competition “de Grote Prijs van Nederland”.

Performed inside and outside of Holland with his danceduo 2 beatz 4.

In Dutch theatres he played parts in Het Verschil (Ruut Weismann), La Dia, De Opera Carmen (Zuidelijk Toneel) and Vaandragers. On the Oerol festival he made a musicshow with Wende.
